This time I’m sitting on my closet floor, crying again over a stranger’s loss. Except we aren’t really strangers, we are family brought together by a shared and horrific diagnosis. The grief, too often over the loss of an innocent child…the pain and depression years after “recovery”…the physical scars and long-term side effects…these are the tolls left by this monstrous disease. It just sucks.
