The book is going to the printer – I’m gonna be an author! OK, real authors probably don’t say ‘gonna’. But then, I never expected to be an author. When I think about it, nothing of importance in my life turned out the way I planned it…my job, where I live, my family make-up. Thank heavens! If it had, my life would have been far emptier. I’d have never planned for most of the wonderful things that have happened in my life – I’m not that smart. I’m not really sure how qualified we even are to plan our own lives. We lost a child shortly after the birth of our son; that was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. But if things had gone according to our wishes, we would never have adopted our daughters—our princesses, the lights of our lives. I believe things somehow work out the way they’re supposed to and not they way we think we want them to. It is a gift not to see the future and not to be able to control our fate. After three years, I’m on to the next chapter (so to speak), to see what publication of the book holds. I wonder what amazingly unexpected thing will happen now?
“It is a mistake to look too far ahead. Only one link of the chain of destiny can be handled at a time.” –Winston Churchill

Kelly, I am once again taken in by your wisdom. I too, am a religous person, I believe in god and believe that god is a person, not a place of worship. Can’t wait to read your book!

I enjoyed this posting very much, Kelly. Congratulations on everything that worked out exactly as it should have. PS. You can still use the word gonna around me.

Congratulations!!! I love what you write here, and I so agree that God gives us far more than we could ever imagine. I don’t agree that your not that smart, because your writing betrays this : ) Congratulations again on your book – I can’t wait to read it!
