Assorted views on faith: a book list

Diverse reading list on the nature of faith from the Atlantic, planning to read several (though not all):

1. “The Power of Myth” by Joseph Campbell, with Bill Moyer

2. “Discovering God” by Rodney Stark

3. “The Belief Instinct” by Jesse Bering

4. “The Tenth Parallel” by Eliza Griswold

5. “God is Not Great” by famed atheist Christopher Hitchens

6. “The Buddha”, a 2010 PBS documentary narrated by Richard Gere which can be viewed free online

7. “This I Believe”, 80 essays from the NPR series of the same name

“Skepticism is the beginning of faith.”  –Oscar Wilde

Looks like a great reading (and watching) list. ‘This I believe’ is the book that I thought I had seen you reading on the flight back from Amsterdam which started our conversations about great books. I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts on Christopher Hitchens’ work!
